I think this was Boing Boing'd awhile back, but I had to blog it.

How cool is this Darth Vader hot air balloon?

It would be very very awesome to have a ride in this little friend. You would have to have binoculars to catch the astonishment on people's faces when they see a massive, giant head floating through their neighborhood.

very cool. and the sound of the gas used to heat the air can be used as the breathing sound effect.

way cool. or, as my 15 yr old would say, bear cool. bear cool in muchness. I would so like to fly in that - makes the usual teardrop shaped balloons look - well, wimpy nerdy useless!

This was rather apropos, actually, since this year is the 30th anniversary of the original Star Wars. Oy. I suddenly feel very very old. I remember watching that movie at the drive-in. My dad and I sat on the hood of his car while my mom, sister and baby brother slept inside. That whole summer my cousin Rhett and I played with all the Star Wars action figures in their front yard, using the street gutter (it was all water from people's yards) for rivers. Good times.
