Will there be phone numbers to call in votes during the State of the Union?

Even though I am not as interested in American Idol for the first few episodes because I can only take so much of the ridiculous; I feel like listening to Pres Bush is going to be the same thing again. I may not watch either and listen to some good music.

Not sure that either is worth the recording space...pretty sad that I would rather TiVo a bunch of idiots thinking they can sing rather than an idiot thinking he knows how to speak...

Well, I won't be watching the State of the Union. I never do, even when I don't hate and despise the president giving it. I always read the transcript the next day, but sitting through the speech itself, with breaks every 3 words for a round of sycophantic applause, is beyond tedious.

Of course, I'd rather claw my own eyes out than watch American Idol, so.

I am going out for a wine dinner tonight so I won't be watching either. Idol is too early in the season to care about.

If I was home, I would definately watch the State of the Union. I love the close ups on people doing crossword puzzles and fake clapping. C-Span is the best channel to watch it on. You get to see all the people chit- chatting before it starts with out the Spin of annoying people saying talking crap out of their mouths.
