over at Cork'd so if you are interested in wine add me (and by default, Joe, who knows oodles more about wine than I do).

It's true. Project 365 has fallen by the wayside. I just FORGET. And after 3-4 days of forgetting or taking pictures at the last moment in the day just to say I took something, well, I'll just stick to taking pictures as I think about it. But I have scored some interesting shots over the last couple of weeks, so here is my last almost-365 post.
Chihuly glass sculpture at Mohegan Sun. They finally cleaned it. When I saw it last it was covered in the most disgusting layer of yellow gray smoke crud. I used to work at a bottle supply company that Chihuly used to buy containers to mix his paints. He would always send a cab driver over to get the delivery which I thought was so strange.
Last week we went to the Blue Room for dinner and it was a beautiful snowy picture with the lights everywhere and even a full moon.
This was the scene from my window during the day...
One of Joe's older pieces that we have on the wall in the dining room...
And finally, the loverkitty, Romeo, looking for a big belly rub...
I had the best date evah!
I went to the Fogg Art Museum and met
a handsome guy on the steps. We wandered around for a couple hours then we headed over to Dali and had frog legs and garlic soup. Then we went to Central Square and went to Toscanini's. Then he said he had to go to the bathroom and I weighed that heavily in my mind (because I was tired of men being jerks) but I gave in and he stayed for three days. No, make that six years.Today is like a personal thanksgiving for me. Except that instead, Joe is making pheasant for dinner. YUM. I'm making a crumb apple pie. There is football involved because well, it's Sunday and the Pats are playing. And overall, I just feel so grateful for what I have now and what I will in the future.
I'll let you know how the apple crumb pie turns out. It's from Epicurious. If it's good, I'll be making it again in two weekends for a goodbye party we're having for a friend. We're going to be heading to Nashoba Valley Winery next Friday for our autumn work party, so I'll have lots of tasty apples on hand once again!
- oooo new templates! That's my favorite thing about Vox...being able to change my blog in the blink of an eye, and change it one min later if I decide to. :-)
- tonight I'm teaching my second to last class. I'm in the homeward stretch now. I'll feel so relieved to be done--I love love love teaching but it was just getting to be too much with my other work. And my personal creativity was suffering very badly as a result. I feel so relieved to be nearly done. And I look forward to returning to teaching world sometime in my future--when I'm not working 45-50 hours on the side!
- I'm already starting to think about NANOWRIMO. It's VERY cool that I'm so excited to write like a freak so many months ahead of time. I'm ready to start plotting, planning and preparing.
- Joe and I are going to be heading to Stowe VT in our near future for an awesome weekend getaway. Check this gorgeous place out! Anyone have any great dining suggestions while we are there?
- Fall is around the corner and I'm already planning our group's fall outing (at work...there are 8 people in the group at my location--the other 300 or so are with the parent company). This year we're going to head to the Nashoba Valley Winery for lunch, apple picking and wine tasting. YAY! Oddly, its located right next to Stowe, Massachusetts...
- I'm just dying to see what happens in Big Brother tomorrow night when Boogie uses his Coup d'Etat!
- Our Asian neighbors across the street have started their little 4 or so year-old on the piano. It's really cute to listen to him totally messing up when he practices, both in the morning and at night. Right now they are playing Mary Had a Little Lamb...which is huge progression from last week when it was just scales. I never realized what a huge thing it is in particular parts of Asia for students to learn an instrument until I knew one of the women in my Critical & Creative Thinking classes. She was an amazing violinist and she gave an really incredible performance as part of one of our creativity projects. Apparently it's very prestigious to have musical skills and children start very early and there is a lot of pressure to become highly competent in some families. Greg may know more about this since he's lived all over Asia...
